We designed this kayak with serious fishing in mind. Two flush-mount rod holders, two vertical rod holders, and a quick-lock hatch with integrated tackle storage keep your gear organized and accessible. The adjustable ERGOFORM padded backrest and molded footrests provide all-day comfort during long sessions on the water.
Constructed from our proprietary RAM-X™ Impact multi-layer polyethylene, the Sentry 120X is built to withstand UV exposure, impacts, and years of hard use. The twin-arched multi-chine hull design offers excellent tracking and maneuverability, while the large front and rear tank wells with bungee tie-downs accommodate coolers, crates, and additional tackle.

The Sentry 120X Angler features our twin-arched multi-chine hull, a design we refined specifically for stand-up fishing applications. The 33.5-inch beam provides exceptional primary stability when seated, while the multi-chine configuration creates secondary stability that prevents tipping when you shift your weight to cast or land a fish.
The hull’s flat bottom section extends across the central sitting area, creating a stable platform that makes standing comfortable even for newer paddlers. We positioned the seat slightly lower in the hull to lower your center of gravity, further enhancing confidence when fishing from a standing position. The kayak tracks straight with minimal correction, so you can focus on fishing rather than constant steering adjustments.
Storage and fishing features
We equipped the pelican sentry 120x angler fishing kayak with a comprehensive fishing-focused storage system. The quick-lock hatch forward of the cockpit offers watertight storage for valuables, electronics, and your tackle box. Inside the hatch, we molded a removable tackle tray with multiple compartments for organizing lures, hooks, and terminal tackle.
The large rear tank well accommodates a 5-gallon bucket, soft-sided cooler, or milk crate-style tackle system. We added reinforced bungee tie-downs across both the bow and stern tank wells, so your gear stays secure in choppy conditions or during transport. Two molded-in cup holders keep drinks within reach, and the center console area between your legs provides additional dry storage for pliers, line cutters, and frequently used tackle.
Comfort and adjustability
Our ERGOFORM padded backrest system combines high-density foam cushioning with breathable mesh panels that keep you cool during summer fishing sessions. The backrest adjusts forward and back to accommodate different torso lengths, and the lumbar support panel adjusts independently so you can dial in the perfect fit.
We molded footrests directly into the hull at three positions, allowing paddlers from 5’2″ to 6’4″ to find a comfortable leg position. The textured non-slip deck surface across the entire cockpit area provides secure footing when standing.
